I wonder if the early libertarians said something like that about the VRA. ("Wonderful, now blacks can vote for interventionism, too.")

They didn't exist for Truman integrating the armed forces or the Nineteenth Amendment, but I'm sure the socialists or communists stepped up, then.

I don't think it's a bad thing that guys can participate fully in military service. Being trusted to defend the tribe is an essential prerequisite of equality in human societies.

And a rescue chopper is among the least objectionable things a military can have.

I guess it's just disappointing that one of the major hallmarks of progress in America is the inclusivity of our vast war machine. Like, I wish it weren't big enough to be so important.

I saw the Taylor Swift 'challenge' on Twitter and considered posting "Think of a number greater than 3. That's right, you can't."

Consider that shit stolen. It describes a whole genre of tweets that, 99% of the time, are about Taylor Swift.

The replies to the original tweet are basically blowing up with everyone's favorite handful of larger numbers. Dark Side of the Moon seems to be the most commonly cited example, for obvious reasons, but there are a lot of neat selections.

It's a fun topic but yeah, unless someone puts an "album" cover as the cover pic on the youtube video for a song I'm just not going to see it. Haven't been in a position to see album covers in the wild in about 25 years. The only one I could think of that might be considered 'iconic' that I encountered post death-of-record-stores is Aphex Twin with that face of his. The others I didn't see anyone post that popped to mind were Blind Faith and Roxy Music's Country Life. But then dammit I'm just falling for the bait, DAR really nailed it.

Also Abbey Road, In the Court of the Crimson King, that one with all the Beatlefaces on it, that Black Sabbath album with the witch on the cover, Van Halen for just pretty much having their logo on it, - I wanna say More Songs about Buildings and Food or Remain in Light but no that's self indulgent bullshit and I say that as a libertarian.
