Shamelessly Currying Favor with Ellie
Re: Shamelessly Currying Favor with Ellie
That looks like it could be my cat's scruffy, grouchy older brother.

Folks might also enjoy the Bodega Cats Twitter.
(The underscore at the end of the name is important; apparently, there was an older account that did the same thing before, but which hasn't posted in years.)

The first time I saw him, I thought, "That's weird, a cat wandering around in here," but it has since become apparent that he more or less officially lives there. Despite his grouchy appearance, he has an excellent personality for a business cat, since he does not pester people for attention but accepts it graciously if they choose to give it.

Just a random pic of my cats from a couple days ago, when they were actually sitting close to each other.

Whoa. When I first saw it I thought the locals got drunk and drew a kitty because why not, and that everyone just thought it was old and they'd never noticed it before.Hugh Akston wrote: ↑19 Oct 2020, 16:10 Peruvian workers discovered an ancient cat doodle predating the Nazca Lines

At one point I was doing field work outside of Los Alamos and a buddy and I walked up an arroyo away from the line for reasons I don't recall, and started talking about They Might Be Giants (this being 1993 and us being nerdy college kids) and he started idly scratching his stick-figure interpretation of Particle Man into the side of the arroyo (the rock there is a loosely welded tuff that you can more or less carve with a stick or even your finger if your callouses are in good shape) and I added Triangle Man next to him. An hour or so later one of the other students comes up the line super excited that she found some really well-preserved Anasazi petroglyphs!

Doesn't the presence of a ceiling cat imply that there is a certain activity going on?

That is some first rate Maine coon (or Norwegian/Siberian forest cat). Ours scared a repair guy last year.
