He did do a nice backward roll, tho.

Watching the Super Bowl on the BBC is weird as shot. They spent the first commercial break explaining what the play action is.

I am so glad that Andy Reid, a national treasure, has a ring.

(In here cause we don't have a newer NFL thread)
The NFL needs to change the replay rule about scoring plays so that plays that would be scoring plays get the same automatic review if they are called as not scoring as if they were initially ruled as a score. Why does the defense get a free replay review but the offense doesn't, just because the refs blow the call (the point is that if the replay overturns it, the refs blew the call either way)? Either make it an automatic review, or if you're going to make the offense challenge the call, refund the challenge if it shows it really was a score (when it would have been reviewed automatically at no charge to either team).

Better still, the nature of the win will just end up making Giants and Eagles fans hate each other's teams even more while the WFT skates.
Obviously, the Eagles could never admit to tanking, but let's just say some of the coaching decisions in the second half and especially the fourth quarter were, um, questionable?
I thought it was hilarious.

You know, I don't ask for much. I knew neither of my teams (Seattle and Minnesota) were going to make a deep run. I just wanted *one* thing. Just one fucking thing. Not even shooting for the moon or nuthin', I just wanted Tom Brady to not be in the super bowl. AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH

Apparently this keeps alive a streak of Tom Brady's: Every time his team has lost the first game of the season, the team has gone to the Super Bowl for that season. Of course, he's only lost the first game of the season 4 times in his career. And he's gone to the Super Bowl in more than half of the seasons he's been playing.
I honestly have to give him more respect as a player. I have long thought the Patriots were more Belichik than Brady, but seeing Belichik's system fall apart (granted, they didn't just lose Brady, they had like 4 other starters quit because of Covid) and seeing Brady take the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl, especially having gone past the Saints, where the story was how Brees, not Brady, was washed up and his arm was dead, I'm revising how much credit Brady gets for the performance of those teams.
He's still a good villain, especially against Mahomes, but now he's more like the head villain, rather than the head henchman.

The Bucs were an ideal team for Brady to go to weapons wise and the Pats were a hot mess close to the brink. Belichick did take a Matt Cassel led team to 11-5 (though they missed the playoffs)
