Hi Hugh, new here. I've lurked some and wanted to get in on the discussion. Also, I'm just dying to talk about the latest season of Young Sheldon.

(That's a joke, just to be clear. VERY CLEAR.)

I missed them, I was working on my "Nicholas Cage, Good or Bad?" course at the time. I still don't know the answer to that, because there is no answer.

Look, Hugh, if it doesn't have a laugh track, it isn't comedy.

Now that is just a cruel joke, Aresen. Although whether it is a cruel joke on the newbie or on the rest of us I haven't decided yet.

The potion is more effective if we let the blood ferment first.

Nicolas Cage did some good stuff in his early days, when he could presumably afford to be picky about what roles he'd take because he didn't have a zillion bankruptcy debts to pay off.

Welcome, Professor! Buffet's here, bathroom's over there, and don't forget to put the toilet seat down when you're done.

Joe was a good movie, especially for latter day Cage which, as Jennifer points out, is driven more by the IRS than artistic concerns.

Eww, stop talking about Nicolas Cage! (His only good role was in Into the Spider-Verse.) As the resident administrator, I demand more content about cats, or dudes kissing each other.

*shrug* I haven't seen the entire Cage oeuvre, but aside from Leaving Las Vegas, for which he deservedly won Best Actor, I've never seen anything he's done that impressed me. I've thought he was okay in a few films, but I think he has a Shatneresque tendency to chew the scenery.

That movie was at least 30 minutes too long. Con-Air is peak Cage.

No, either Raising Arizona or Vampire's Kiss was peak Cage, after which point things declined FAST.
