It will have a slant but probably will be fair. Unless she’s gone insane with culture war over the past year or so.

I know who she is, but tbf ‘London Breed’ does sound like a UK skinhead football hooligan gang.

That. Or some kind of roast.

Entire California school board resigns after caught mocking parents over school reopenings
I do want to snicker at them just for the way they got caught, but honestly, if you've ever known any teachers, you'd know they complain about parents a lot. And I would say they're probably justified too. Is there any profession where people don't complain about some of their clients?

My wife dreads Parent-Teacher night. Even doing it through Zoom this past year was a drag.

Yes, I was making a lame joke. People are typically at their very worst in the immediate aftermath of the death of a close family member or friend and clergy and I'm sure funeral parlor workers usually have both horror stories and hilarious stories about the antics of some of the survivors.JD wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021, 09:00Honestly, probably them too. I have very bad memories of the funeral company I had to deal with at the time of my mother's death. Outrageous overcharges for even the simplest of items ($500 for a box for her ashes that would not have been worth $10 at Walmart, etc.)D.A. Re: PS 411
There's certainly that, too. Funeral companies, now almost entirely big chains, are predatory, a fact that's been well documented ever since Jessica Mitford published The American Way of Death in 1963. They've successfully lobbied most states to pass laws pretty much requiring their services in some capacity, they're in cahoots with cemeteries, casket makers, etc.Aresen wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021, 10:50I have very bad memories of the funeral company I had to deal with at the time of my mother's death. That said, the bereaved can and often do behave, well, weirdly, sometimes in a funny way, sometimes in a bad way. And obviously all funereal rites and rituals are for the survivors, anyway; not for the guest of honor.
