I think after today’s Senate vote we’re officially on the 10 day veto clock, but I’m going to make a prediction that he’s too much of a coward to veto the NDAA. (Plus the rest of the govt runs out of money on the 11th I think)

Trump loyalist Kash Patel blocking some Pentagon officials from helping Biden transition
A Trump loyalist who was recently appointed as Pentagon chief of staff is controlling the Biden transition's team access to Pentagon officials, even blocking some career officials and experts from giving information about key defense issues to the transition team and telling political appointees to take the lead instead, say two current and two former U.S. officials.

In some instances, the chief of staff, Kash Patel, who was assigned to the Pentagon after last month's election, has recast policy descriptions to include content that reflects favorably on Trump's policies before the information is shared with the Biden transition, two of the officials said.

"He told everybody we're not going to cooperate with the transition team," one of the former officials said of Patel, and he has "put a lot of restrictions on it."

There are a lot of threads where this would fit:

Trump says personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani tested positive for COVID-19
U.S. President Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, has tested positive for COVID-19, Trump said on Sunday, after a wave of travel by the former New York mayor seeking to persuade Republican state lawmakers to overturn the Nov. 3 election results.

The 76-year-old Giuliani is the latest in a long line of people close to the White House, including Trump himself, sickened in a pandemic that has killed more than 280,000 Americans.
With so many people associated with this administration catching the virus, maybe the White House has to be locked down.

It's not as though it is an essential service, after all.

Based on the way Grover Cleveland is counted in the list of US presidents, if Trump were re-elected in 2024 would he be the TWO worst presidents of the United States?

I’m less optimistic on this being a problem for Trump after reading it than I was from the headline and Twitter chatter. All the complaints, though valid, are coming from people with longstanding beefs with Trump and/or the resort, and reading between the lines, it seems to me that the town government is on Trump’s side and won’t take any action.

The problem is that he’s such a juicy target that his usual strategy of wearing opponents down with lawyers may flip. Pretty sure anyone that Sue’s him will get plenty of donations. And Palm Beach is really Blue, so there’s no benefit to backing him up.

Not surprising. What I found surprising was that the recent big supposedly Russian hack didn't originate with him or his close circle.

Or I figured there was some kind of code among hackers that Trump and his White House was too easy a target to and it would bring dishonor not to take a harder route.

The Pentagon has been ordered to stop working with Biden's transition team, Russian hackers be damned.

But they leaked how much the Pentagon would save if we just stopped building the 'emergency' wall. How dare they? Also it's just perfectly normal because they're just rescheduling some meetings its not political just procedural nothing to see here dum deedum dee dee whistles innocently.

Even if there is any deliberate obfuscation, it's not as though the country is currently facing any time-sensitive crises where it would really be helpful to have both an outgoing POTUS who gave a damn about the country, and a POTUS-elect with the information necessary to hit the ground running once he takes office.

Atlantic City auctions off chance to push demolish button on former Trump casino
The implosion of one of President Donald Trump's former Atlantic City casinos is being delayed by a few weeks.

Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small said Thursday that the demolition company handling the job told the city the former Trump Plaza casino cannot be brought down as scheduled on Jan. 29.

A more likely date is sometime in February, although a firm date has not yet been set, the mayor said.

The city is using the demolition as an opportunity to raise funds for the Boys And Girls Club of Atlantic City. The city is auctioning the right to press the button that implodes the building. Small said he hopes to exceed $1 million from the auction, and the highest bidder will press the button.
