Various law enforcement officials have offered their opinion of the Capitol police's handling of the mob. Terms like "piss-poor" and "unacceptable on so many levels" are used.

Apparently it was Pence who called in the National Guard since Trump refused. But given how thoroughly craven Pence has been all this time, I seriously wonder: would he even have done THAT much, if not for the fact that the mob was shouting things like "Hang Pence!"

Nope. In his earlier video he told them he loves them and they're very special. And at the end of this one he told them "Our incredible journey is just beginning." The Sad Bois know when he's reading from a script versus when he's talking to them.
