If corporate contributions really do start to dry up as long as Trumpism is perceived as something those companies just don't want to be closely associated with, the money should start petering out in a few years.
If the recent fundraising scandal is any indication, they'll fix it by swindling their supporters for everything they have.

And Trump supporters will deny any wrong-doing and claim it's fake news. Even the ones who get fleeced will still vote for him. Like thoreau, I'm cheering for the coronary.

OFFS The GOP won't let the election be over:

Arizona Republicans to begin auditing 2020 ballots in effort to undermine election results
Audit will include a hand recount of all 2.1m ballots cast in Maricopa county in alarming consequence of Trump’s baseless lies
Nearly five months after Joe Biden was declared the official winner of the presidential race in Arizona, state Republicans are set to begin their own audit of millions of ballots, an unprecedented move many see as a thinly-veiled effort to continue to undermine confidence in the 2020 election results.

The GOP-controlled state senate ordered the audit, set to formally get underway this week, which may be one of the most absurd and alarming consequences to date of Donald Trump’s baseless lies about the 2020 election. It will be executed by a private Florida-based company. It also reportedly will be supported from far-right lawyer Lin Wood and observers from the far-right news network One America News Network.

The audit will be solely focused on Maricopa county, the largest in the state and home to a majority of Arizona’s voters. Biden narrowly defeated Trump in the county, a crucial battleground that helped the president win Arizona by around 10,000 votes. The audit will include a hand recount of all 2.1m ballots cast in the county, a process expected to take months.

Good. It keeps them from doing more mischief. It's an excellent use of their time and attention.

Looking forward to them announcing that the certified totals were correct within a slight margin of error and that Joe Biden is the duly elected President of the United States.

I think that is what will happen, though I am a little nervous about OANN* being cast as the 'independent observers' and, from the story, it looks like they are being rather obstructive about there being truly independent observers.

*I always read the name as 'ONAN', which I think is totally appropriate.

Exactly. Better to give them tiddlywinks than have them digging around their pants for poo to throw around.

Additional OFFSness - A guy who lied so much on 'code violation' reports that he ended up on the AZ Brady list and who then was part of the Capitol attack (although he may've just been in the crowd outside on the steps, not sure if he went in or fucked anything up) is now part of the AZ ballot audit.

Wouldn't it be easier to have some kind of platform or ethos to work toward rather than gold medaling in the fucknut Olympics 24/7.

A platform requires work and establishes a benchmark by which people can judge you. All you gotta do to fucknut is make something up and blame it on Antifa.
