Easy disproof of the hoary old "music is the universal language" idea: find people unfamiliar with this piece, have them listen to it blind, and then have them describe what it's about. Then see what 0.00x% of them come up with "mother telling daughter to kill someone or be disowned".

I think I disliked this song back in the day, not as bad as I remember, harmless little catchy pop song stuck in my head. Catchy and the lyrics seem so timely with a little adjustment of a couple lines.
