Do you actually have more than one line in your head from it, or is it just "Like a Rhinestone cowboy..*jan jan* na na nananaaa da da daaa dada rodeooooo"?

Did someone say "contagious"?

Gah. I have an ear worm and I don't even know the song. It was someone trying very hard (and mostly succeeding) to sound like the Jayhawks, and one of the repeated lines was "everything's gonna be alright."

I forget whether I posted about this earlier this year, but for the longest time, I'd try to remember this catchy little song from high school. The tune and chorus would occasionally get stuck in my head. I couldn't remember the band or song title, though, and that chorus was a seemingly unsearchable variation of "And it's alright, alright, alright..." And I've never been great with lyrics unless I've listened to a song a few hundred times.

But, it somehow turned up:

Not as epic as Jennifer's hunt, but I was pleased to find it.

Someone merely mentioned this song and got it stuck in my head, a few minutes ago:

I think my mind is all "oh yeah, enjoying that hit of nostalgia for a song you forgot you knew for 30 years? Then see how you like hearing those oh-so-catchy lyrics in your head OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER"

This has been popping up in my head for a couple of days.

(I actually like this performance a bit better than the album version.)

So after failing to escape the ads for the Fox Live Rent Extravaganza a couple weeks back, this has been stuck in my head (despite only knowing the first four lines of the song).

I had Google give me a radio station based on it, listened to Americana/folk all evening, and still have it stuck in my head.

I like it. It combines some of the better hooks and vibe from each of the last 3 decades.

Dammit, I came across a thread about creepy music videos, and someone posted this one, which is only bad in uncanny valley, but I'd never heard this song before, and now I can't get it out of my brain.
