If these allegations are true, then Ft. Leavenworth will be getting some VIP inmates.

If the allegations are true, it should be fairly easy to check the security camera footage from the day before to verify the claims.
I also hope they look into the congresswoman who tweeted "1776" at the beginning of the day and then, while the mob rampaged through the capitol, live-tweeted Pelosi's movements.

If this anecdote is accurate then I have no clue how America recovers.
https://www.detroitnews.com/story/opini ... 599593002/My colleague told me that efforts to overturn the election were wrong, and that voting to certify was a constitutional duty. But my colleague feared for family members, and the danger the vote would put them in. Profoundly shaken, my colleague voted to overturn.

That guy is interesting. Replaced Amash. He was live on a 5th Column Patreon Zoom chat and talked about what it was like when it went down. He suggested a plurality of elephants seemed like they were ready to support impeachment. Some 'leadership' was absolutely furious that members like Cruz and Hawley had indulged this. We all took that to mean Mitch. He did mention that what some members were hearing from consitutents was very disturbing.thoreau wrote: ↑13 Jan 2021, 11:15 If this anecdote is accurate then I have no clue how America recovers.

If a given country only has two political parties (which for all intents and purposes is the case), and one of those parties is actively and openly hostile to the very idea of democratic norms -- yeah, the future of democracy in that country looks pretty dim.thoreau wrote: ↑13 Jan 2021, 11:15 If this anecdote is accurate then I have no clue how America recovers.

Glad to see that Republicans’ views on giving in on terrorists’ demands have changed.JasonL wrote:That guy is interesting. Replaced Amash. Ah, but these terrorists think that Jesus is the last prophet, not Mohammed. Totally different.

The only the only difference between Q and real religions is that the grift is freelance rather than subject to an organized hierarchy.

FWIW, the congresswoman who made the allegations followed up with a pretty sober letter to the law enforcement authorities asking very specific questions about procedures.Jennifer wrote: ↑13 Jan 2021, 02:53 If the allegations are true, it should be fairly easy to check the security camera footage from the day before to verify the claims.

She doesn't seem to be grandstanding, as her letter asks them to look into matters that could pretty easily prove her wrong if there were no unusual tours on January 5. Doesn't necessarily mean that any unusual tours were reconnaissance activities, but if she were making shit up then the records she's asking for would show there were no unusual tours.

Right and the fact that she got 30 people to sign the letter and those people aren’t grandstanding about it means that something happened, even if it is actually benign.

Yeah. It's entirely possible that the weird tours were special favors for people with no COVID sense but also no terrorist intent. But it sure sounds like some anomalous visits happened.
