Re: Twitter!

Law twitter is very informative about the Dominion lawsuits. Is there more to them than "they're bullshit that are doomed to fail"? I though we were talking about the suits where Dominion is suing a bunch of people for defamation, which are way more plausible than the typical defamation suits over ...

Re: Petty annoyances

The insulation was crumbling? Is your apartment building a hundred years old? It's about one hundred twenty-five years old, actually. The first house I owned would be close to 90 years old now, and half of it was still wired with knob and tube when I bought it. Still worked fine when I sold it too....

After having the election stolen from him, being blamed for an insurrection, and likely facing multiple criminal prosecutions, on his way out the door, Donald J Trump sent me six hundred United States Dollars. What a class act.

There's a shitload of upside if you bought it at $100 and pay it out at $1,000 without having to take capital gains on it.

Re: Petty annoyances

A while back one of our circuit breakers tripped (not the same one that did so yesterday). But upon being reset, it would instantly trip again, even if there was nothing plugged in. When the super investigated, he found out that the insulation leading to one of the outlets was crumbling away, leadi...

Re: Petty annoyances

It's cold and windy today, and the cheap, shitty windows our landlord installed leak air like crazy. I had leaky windows in an apartment once. They had no trim and were just set into the wall. I made inserts out of 1x1 and put that window shrink-wrap on it and then used weather stripping to give it...

Re: Winnie the Pooh and Silk Road 2: The China Thread

It's not a good time to be a banker in China. China doesn’t fool around when it comes to financial regulation. On January 5, a Chinese court sentenced a senior finance industry executive to death. He was guilty – in the words of the court –of being “extremely greedy.” I saw a story about that a few...
