Even only one or two weeks would solve a lot of hassles around voting (aside from the tension in big elections).

The interesting thing about this is the Liberal Party has been digging up old dirt to throw at the Conservatives - especially stuff that implies the Conservatives are racist - during the election campaign. This should put a stop to it.

When the number is something more than what has been reported thus far.

Apparently a majority of Canadians want Prince Harry to be Governor General.

Trudeau won't go to Washington to meet with Trump and Obrador to celebrate Son-of-NAFTA.

The official reason is that he would have to self-quarantine for 14 days on his return and that would conflict with the opening of Parliament, which is almost de rigueur for a Prime Minister to attend.

Most people think that it is because Trump is political poison in Canada and Trudeau, with a minority government, doesn't want to be seen chumming with him. This, of course, is gambling that Trump will lose in November.

What matters is not how much he has to quarantine before meeting Trump. What matters is how little he quarantines before meeting Trump.

I'd recommend that he do everything he can to get himself infected, then go hug Trump.

If hugging the President isn't in the First Lady's job description, it certainly shouldn't be in the Canadian PM's.
