Love the sound:

"Never forget: a war on undocumented immigrants by necessity is a war on all of our freedoms of association and movement."

Let's make it rock a little early-90s style:

"Better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer."
Cet animal est très méchant / Quand on l'attaque il se défend.

I always kinda liked the original but I think this blows (ha!) it away:

"Never forget: a war on undocumented immigrants by necessity is a war on all of our freedoms of association and movement."

Nice. Eddie Hazel was definitely one of the greats.

I went down a youtube rabbit hole when I finally got a chance to listen to it. (not now, a bit ago, but a month or so after the post)

From the traditionals division, a lovely little dramatic version:

"Better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer."

This Gerard Way cover of Hazy Shade of Winter is pretty awesome.

Love it, who knew there was actually a real song behind the baseball entertainment phenom.

Came back to the thread because I found a cover of The Orchids by Psychic TV that was promising. Went south after a minute, so as long as I'm already here,

"Never forget: a war on undocumented immigrants by necessity is a war on all of our freedoms of association and movement."

Since we don't really have a separate mashup thread:

This song has been done to death, but I still like this version:

I may've posted it before but I really like Wye Oak's cover of that that they did for AV Undercover. Unfortunately all the old AV Undercover videos have disappeared, and the only ones still out there are pirated versions, and nobody did this one, so I've gotta go with a live version of lesser sound quality.

And I must listen to every version that looks like more than some British rando with a guitar or keyboard.

(Because every British rando with a guitar or keyboard has a posted a cover of "Running Up That Hill".)

Not bad!

Only a partial cover version since Mick Taylor played on the original, but he really stretches out here:
