I have to say, the airlines don't act like they're afraid of their passengers/customers. But they should.

I'd be happy if they let game hens on board. Preferably with olive oil, salt, pepper, and rosemary.

An escaped peacock took up residence on my street when I was around 12. At first I was all holy shit there's a no shit peacock living here that's so awesome. Then it started leaving four inch peashits on our deck. It would roost in the tree outside my window, and then start calling at 5AM. 10 feet from where I was sleeping. Your dipshit hippie-yuppie neighbors with their urban chickens got NOTHING on the full-blown scream of a peacock.

I later attacked it with a bb gun because fuck that thing. The bbs didn't even get through the plumeage. It looked at me like, "what, bitch?" I also tried to attack it on foot, but it can fly JUSSSSST well enough to get up out of reach in a tree. Fucking thing.

Extinction's too good for them.

Ready to turn in my monocle over the death of the Frenchie puppy. Capital punishment for the flight attendant. But also for the mom, who not only should not have listened to the flight attendant but more importantly should have left the dog at home (and should never have gotten it because somehow I doubt it was a rescue).

Oddly enough on my flight yesterday the Southwest flight attendant made a big deal about how you have to obey all flight attendant instructions because IT'S THE LAW. I think it was supposed to be part of a running joke (part of listing illegal things like tampering with smoke detectors), but no, if you're ordering something that will kill a pet fuck the law.

This story is enough nut punch for an entire year.

Also, I would have never guessed those janky ass bins were airtight and/or would suffocate an animal. And this is why everyone has a comfort animal.

I know. How is there not a market for pet-friendly flights. There's basically no way to safely fly with a pet other than pretending it's a service animal, and obviously people want to do it.

Virgin Atlantic apparently has one of the best pet travel situations, the cargo hold is climate controlled same as the passenger area. That's basically the only way Mrs. Mo is letting that happen. She is obsessed with how to get the pup over.
