This is your captain speaking. You've got a nice life there, and it'd be a shame if something were to happen to it, like maybe dying of anoxia after a pressurization malfunction and a malfunction of the in-flight oxygen system for everyone but the flight and cabin crews. In a completely unrelated note, it's the birthday of the entire flight and cabin crews. For your comfort and convenience, flight attendants will be passing through the cabin, offering refreshments, and it would be rude of them not to accept any large monetary birthday presents you might choose to give.

I'm happy to do that too, so long as you're the highest bidder.

Saw Luna at the Telgram Ballroom downtown. I've never seen a guitar god live, so I don't know if it's standard procedure for them to stand stock still while shredding, but it was pretty delightful nonetheless. Bought an signed poster and got to see arguably my favorite song of all time performed live. All in all a worthwhile evening.

We've got a band gig tomorrow night. No Halloween theming on our part. Good parts: I don't have to deal with any of the bratty bastards coming to demand candy and pissing me off. Bad parts: I'm half-convinced that the house is gonna be covered in toilet paper and eggs when I get home.

Ticket purchased, waiting at will call.

Tomorrow night I will be enjoying the costume contest at the strip club, so I also will not have to give out candy. Possibly I'll be enjoying Candy, though.

Listening to the alarm at the apartment complex across the street sound interminably, along with the car alarm of the downstairs neighbors going off.

This coming Sunday my band is playing a short set at a new venue, which is pretty cool. We are probably going to be the only electric band at what is generally an event full of solo singer-guitarists who are oh-so-soulful, and I get to bring my Marshall amp and rock out.

Then I learned to play some lead rhythm guitar
I was underage In this funky bar
And I stepped outside to smoke
myself a "J"
And when I came back to the room
Everybody just seemed to move
And I turned my amp up loud and I began
to play
And it was late in the evening
And I blew that room away

The two of you looked absolutely gorgeous!

I ate too much at the reception, though.
