41-53 F? I've heard of marathons run in those temperatures and even colder. IIRC, the ideal temperature where someone might finally beat 2 hours would be in the 30s.

Mind, the point of that was heat loss, so dressing warmly might be counter-productive.

Yeah. The typical advice for "how should you dress to run in X temp" is to wear about what you'd wear if it were 20 (F) degrees warmer out. So...yeah. I run in shorts until it's below 40, basically. 40s would be my ideal race temp.

I forget tomi lehren exists for weeks at a time and then Twitter make me remember. Goddamit she's a human federalist pitchbot joke account.

Vaguely related, I wanted to watch the Real Time with Bill Maher episode from last season with Sam Harris, because it's about to be wiped from the availability I have, but it would necessitate also hearing Tomi Lahren. Seeing is ok, although she's a human Barbie, i.e. not that appealing to me. Listening to her nonsense is unthinkable.

I don't know if I've ever heard her talk. I presume so but written is bad enough.

Maher is also a garbage fire so I mean that whole show sounds like the worst.

Just to be clear, it's not her voice, it's what she says, which is presumably akin to what she writes. I've never read her stuff.

If you don't know what Devumi is, then you didn't read the fucking article.

Of those celebrities listed in the tweet, I only recognize Richard Roeper, Siskel's replacement on Siskel and Ebert. There's another tweet with other celebrities that I saw, and recognized a few, but they are all pretty D-list.

That's not exactly what I wrote, but that is an implication one could infer.

Agreed. It's like belonging to a frat, but with fewer instances of alcohol overdose and less rape. Actually, maybe this is less harmful than frats.

For a while it was a thing to buy followers for someone else’s account in a bid to get it suspended.

That doesn't undermine my amusement at all. Commie magazine had to pay to get a famous person to write for them. Capitalism: it works, bitches.

The one that tickled me was Jacobin Mag buying followers / influence.
