your hatred of her is like a really good counterweight to her wacky (and admittedly coherent, as k points out above) worldview of EVERYTHING JESUS EVERYTHING KIDS

That should not have been that funny, Jennifer.

Hell, I once asked a girl out to dinner in high school, and she didn't realize I meant it as a date*. I can absolutely believe that someone wouldn't think "date" from "elderly guy three times her age taking her to dinner".

* She found out before the date, politely explained the misunderstanding, and cancelled, as was appropriate. I give her points for that conversation not being one of those excruciating teenage memories.

You guys know that is how coherent political Christianity goes, right? That if the Southeast dumps the GOP instead of Jesus socialism will happen.

Then there was the time a girl I'd explicitly dated a few times asked me to join her for dinner with two other couples. It'd never gone anywhere and I'd written it off, so I was surprised and flattered thinking this meant she wanted to keep going.

It was a good time, and about as much fun as one can have on a triple date where you only kind of know one person beyond your date. I'd just passed the two-beer threshold where I shouldn't drive for a while when she got a call from the guy she'd just started dating, saying that he could make it after all, and would soon be joining us.

What? Surely Popehat's screenshots can't be from "our" milaterry loyer; the words are spelled too correctly.
