Obviously, I wish I could adopt her immediately! (But I would not, because I am too much of a hugger.)

I just like that they waived the adoption fee because the cat is such an asshole

I like this cat, and if I had no other cats nor a psycho dog who has no concept of personal space and a big stinky awkward dog who wants to love everyone and has no concept of space, I'd adopt that cat in a heartbeat.

I take personal space pretty seriously.

Way back in the 90's I was dating a woman that lived in an apartment with her cat. The cat was kind of a dick, in the typical cat way. He would slink behind the slat sofa and reach between the cushions to scratch you. If you wanted to pet him he'd usually walk out of the room, but if you were doing something he'd jump on the table and interfere with whatever it was. One day he was getting up under my arms while I was trying to pack a bowl. So once I managed to get it packed and took a hit, I picked him up, held his face in front of mine, and blew him a shotgun.

He ran around in circles on the carpet for a couple of minutes then wandered around with his eyes all dilated all "mewoooooooow" and finally fell over and went to sleep. After that, every time I took a hit in that apartment, the cat would come running from wherever he was and sit on the arm of the sofa. He'd just sit there until I blew him a hit and then he'd walk off and have a little adventure. He never came up and begged for it, and he'd still be a dick when he wanted to, but as soon as he smelled it, he'd come running to get a taste, and when he was high he was very well behaved.

And this is Sadie, who lives behind my wife's shop. She's filled out a lot since we started feeding her, and she's come to expect food so much that if she comes around and there isn't food, she hops up on the air conditioner and stares in the window. She's also relaxed enough that she doesn't run away when the door is opened.
