When I first saw the picture in this LA Times article I thought it was Regina Spektor in a bodysuit.

My wife's workshop has a little garden space behind it, and lately a couple cats have been dropping by - one skinny black cat, and one plump orange cat, perfect for Halloween. We started putting food out for them, so they come around regularly now. For a while we didn't see the black cat, and we were afraid something had happened to her, but last Saturday she showed up at the same time as the orange cat, and they seemed to get along reasonably well. My wife is hoping that they have a litter of black and orange kittens that she can kidnap.

Muscovite Mikhail Galin wanted to take his pet cat Viktor with him on a flight from Moscow to Vladivostok, and he wanted to keep Viktor's carrier in the cabin, instead of in checked luggage. But Aeroflot staff said that only pets under 8kg (17.6 lb) are allowed in the cabin, and Viktor is a chunky boy at 10kg (22 lb). Mikhail pleaded, but Aeroflot staff wouldn't budge. So Mikhail came up with a cunning plan.

He enlisted his friends to help him find another cat that looked similar to Viktor, but weighed under the limit. When Phoebe the smaller cat was found, the plan was launched: Mikhail took Phoebe to the airport with him in the carrier, while his friends waited with Viktor in another carrier. Mikhail checked in and put Phoebe through the weigh-in; Phoebe passed the weight check and was issued a boarding pass...and then Mikhail swapped the cats, Phoebe went home, and Viktor was carried onto the flight using Phoebe's pass.

And Aeroflot would never have been any the wiser if Mikhail hadn't posted about it on social media. They canceled his frequent flyer status for tricking them.
