Wow. That does look bad. Like they've just got too many balls in the air. The downside of continuity I guess.
Michael Keaton looks good.

I'm surprised they didn't have the supermarket scene in there. It was powerful and moving.

I was wondering if it was a poke at DC to have Michael Keaton as the bad guy in a suit with mechanical wings...

That trailer looks like they're trying to GotG it up a lot, while also throwing a heavy dose of Planet Hulk in there. One wonders how much actual Thorness this movie will involve.

It took me a while to recognize him, because I was thinking, "Wait... Thor knows Grom Hellscream?"

Also, am I the only one who expected the bad-guy to be played by Allie Hannigan and be all, "Bored now."

Alison Hannigan wasn't in that trailer, nor is she in the movie as far as I can tell. Are you referring to Cate Blanchett perhaps?

It's a bad-guy-looks-like-vamp-Willow/dark-Willow bit.

Both are in GOTG2.

Fuck. Yes.

I am fucking glad I didn't know six months ago. I couldn't wait that long.

Hell no on Iron Fist.
And I'm done with Dare Devil, Stick being part of the problem.
So I'm going to pass at least for now.

GotG2 was really good, better than the original actually. The story was pretty weak, but it's hard to build McGuffin stakes when every plot point is just people staring in wonder at a green screen. The dialogue, performances, and music were all very good. Dave Bautista got all the good lines.

I agree although I'm not sure it was better than the first one, but it's a tight race regardless, and it was a lot of fun.

Drax was pretty great in this. Bautista does a really good job of delivering his lines. It's consistent but doesn't feel formulaic.

Overall the chemistry between the whole team is really solid and even overcomes most of the stutters in the script which was a little too on the nose with the drama.

It was cute but meh. Not as good as Captain 1 or certainly not Captain 2, not as good as GOTG 1, not as good as Avengers 1, but maybe after right after those. Better than Ultron and Civil War by a mile. Had an empty enjoyable charm though at some points they were just piling on with dancing groots and cute.

That looks dope. It feels like Denzel, Taraji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer are the only big name blactors missing from the cast.

Spider-Man was pretty solid. I especially liked Michael Keaton. I couldn't help but feel like it could have been a better movie without all the Iron Man stuff and without the trip to DC. But the second post-credits scene is definitely worth staying for.

Also I couldn't tell if the Donald Glover thing was a setup for the future or some kind of subtle fan service/fuck you.

About the same. Not too many super-characters which is a good thing.

They're gonna have to do heavy editing to make her look like she does now in the comics.

I am a man of simple tastes. I want my superhero team shows to have fun scenes with the heroes. Defenders delivers that...eventually. Once the writers remembered that this is a superhero team show they deliver. But I feel like they could have condensed the first two episodes into one and still delivered a perfectly serviceable show that would have given the heroes a little more chance to be proactive rather than reactive.
