Oh, Kung Fury, not Kung Furry. I thought it was a movie about kinky people who dress up as animals and are also martial arts fans.

Honestly, that was a work that didn't even fill its original runtime. I'm pretty bewildered at this.

I thought Kung Fury was great. But the thing I always say about it is that it knew that it couldn't be any longer than it was, and if it had been stretched out to a feature film length it'd've been terrible.

I guess we'll find out.

Yeah. I didn't think it could have been a full ninety minutes. But Manborg worked, so who knows.

I think it would be great if society evolved to the point where everyone knows what kind of depravity everyone else is into and simply doesn't care. I don't know if that's possible.

So this dude wants to be in a rock band. He makes a song, with a video:

(and yeah, it's pretty horrible, but amateurs gonna amateur)

But he's got a FB page with like 20,000+ likes, thousands of views on his videos, tons of comments saying how great the songs are.

Band gets booked on a European Tour, some fairly well-known venues. He hires three guys to play with him (cause even Dave Grohl can't one-man-band the Foo Fighters live). Venues are talking to the promoters, hearing that they're selling tickets well, until a couple days before the gigs. Band members say they were told that the tour would pay them 300 dollars plus expenses. 2 days before the "tour", they find out it's "300 dollars FOR expenses"...

Show up at the first gig... nobody in the audience.
Second gig... two people who were friends of the opening act.
third gig... 3 people.

Band meeting, and the band is like "dude, what the hell, this is stupid."

But it gets better...

The guy made up a fake label, fake promoter, fake award!! (which he won), fake press outlet. He paid for likes and comments on social media. That's a long way to go...

What a hustle. Also, how much like a bunch of goddamn musicians to decide to tour with some new guy and oh, yeah, who needs to get shit in writing?
