I saw the trailer. It really looks terrible.

I say this as someone who unironically watched the American series.

It was originally a British show.

I cannot believe the McLaughlin Group
1) is back on the air
2) hosted by an Englishman
3) who is almost 15 years younger than me.

OK, so opinion reversed. My wife started watching it and it's actually pretty good. A little more just slice of life about a bachelor and some self-improvement tips as opposed to serious how-tos for dressing/grooming/etc.

I watched Bright last night. I don't get the negative reviews. Some of them are by people who criticize its plot and world-building while giving glowing reviews to the Last Jedi. I thought it did a nice job of setting up racism and classism as the setting and instead of making that the story, let the story play out against it. That's much preferable to a heavy-handed morality play, even though there is definitely that in there if you want it. It's just that you have other things to consider, like a decent buddy cop flick with some nice one-liners and 'splosions. It's not Guess Who's Coming To Dinner but it's also not...The Last Jedi.

TL;DR: It gives you a Rush Hour experience with a little more seriousness to it. Not much more, just a little more. I was impressed to see how well they did building out a world in just a couple of hours.

Critics still useless.

I don't know what you could possibly mean by this. Bright is as heavy-handed in it's RACIST! morality play as you can possibly get. It's like an avalanche of RACIST! anvils falling on your head. Clang! Clang! Clang Look at the racism! LOOK! LOOK! RACISM!!! LOOOOOOOOOK CLANG CLANG CLANG!

The resolution isn’t that all Orcs are actually soulful saints but that two guys chase a macguffin and fulfill prophecy.

That the background isn’t exactly subtle doesn’t mean it’s the one and only story.

It's a dumpster fire of a movie for other reasons as well. None of it makes any sense or has any consistency. Even if you just want to watch mindless splosions, you'd be better off with Michael Bay.

Yeah, I didn't get that. Maybe this is like Rick & Morty where you have to have a very high IQ to understand it.

Yeah, the "us fans of [show] are so smart compared to the normies" has a real bad stink to it after the Rick & Morty fans freaked out at McDonald's when they were unable to get their special McNugget sauce.

Well shit, I just accidentally binge watched the entire first season of Norsemen on Netflix. Nice light humor spin on the life 'n times of everyone's favorite raiders.
One thing I hate about distribution lag is when you have a show aired any number of months prior to it being available in your locale.
Versailles is a full year delay between the British market and the U.S. for chrissakes! Makes looking up "when was this shown" on IMDB a bit nontrivial.

Which is in part why I gave up on Versailles.
Right now I have the same bitch for Gomorrah.
