Now I can't help but hear it narrated by Rob Dyrdek, "Oh you want a piece of this? Go to sleep! You're asleep! There you have it folks. You mess with an alligator, you're gonna take a nap."

Rhino poachers eaten by lions
The men entered the Sibuya Game Reserve on the southeast coast armed with a high-powered rifle and an axe in the early hours of Monday and were found dismembered the following day.

"They strayed into a pride of lions - it's a big pride so they didn't have too much time," reserve owner Nick Fox, 60, told AFP.

"We're not sure how many there were - there's not much left of them.

"There seems to be clothing for three people. I've not heard of it before in our area."

Well, they are presumably English seagulls...wait, then shouldn't they be drunk and throwing up on a flight to Spain?

The English can be drunk and throwing up wherever they may find themselves.

We all talk about slapping antipodeans with octopods, but this seal is actually doing something about it.

Every year as hibernation season approaches, Katmai National Park holds a "Fat Bear Week", documenting the park's brown bears bulking up for the winter and ranking them in a March Madness-style bracket. One of the fan favorites and repeat winners is Otis, who is estimated to weigh around 1000 pounds at his heaviest.

It is only a matter of time before some Critical Animal Studies or Critical Fat Studies journal publishes an article on how problematic this is, and then the Sokal Squared crew has to issue a statement denying any involvement.

Admit it: if the link just said "fat bear week" with no picture or explanation, you would've been disappointed by what loaded.

And we have a winner!

Of Beadnose, Bear 409, they say, "Her radiant rolls were deemed by the voting public to be this year's most fabulous flab. Our chubby champ has a few more weeks to chow down on lingering salmon carcasses before she heads up the mountains to dig herself a den and savor her victory." (Otis, the fan favorite, made it pretty far but was eventually beaten out by Beadnose.)

Aside - what passes for comedy in my house. The most significant governing section of IRC related to deferred compensation plans is section 409a. I was in the middle of deferred comp stuff at work, got home, made something on the stovetop and I asked the wife to hand me the 409a like 4 times - getting increasingly frustrated while she kept laughing at me. Good times, good times.

So until I saw the link was from NPR, I wondered if the Fat Bear Week link was SFW
