I can;t help but be amused they offer three easy payments under a 35K item. Dude, my laser engraver was less than that and it's on a five year lease.

And that they charge a $10 service charge for breaking up the payments. GTFO.

I bet you could probably recreate all of the effects that thing can do and more on a laptop for 1/35 of the price.

To what degree of approximation? Analog effects are notoriously difficult to reproduce exactly.

Mustang from the movie Bullitt found:

consultant Ken Gross, who called the car “the Holy Grail of the Mustang car crowd,” said the car could be worth $1 million at auction — if it is not proved inauthentic.

Not something I have a burning desire for, but I'm betting a few of you could really use one of these in your pocket.
Alex made a great lulzy video to showcase the Fidget Cube.

If ever a man needed a Fidget Cube, David L. Watkins is that man. We backed that Kickstarter in October and still haven't received ours. I mean, they ended up raising almost $6.5 million on a project with an initial $15,000 goal, so I'm not surprised they are a bit overwhelmed, and they've been pretty good about sending out updates on production and shipping. I'm getting impatient anyway though!

My girlfriend was early in the Kickstarter, I guess, because hers showed up in January and she gave me one. It's kinda fun. There's really only 2 or 3 actions I like (the switch and the trackball), so I'd actually prefer a mostly blank cube that only had those.

Yeah, we were late backers, probably in the last couple days of the Kickstarter. Harrumph. Oh, well.

Weirdly enough, I just the other day saw someone with the Spinner at a restaurant the other day, and I didn't know what it was. Just now, clicking around the site, I saw the Spinner and said, "Oh, that's what it was."

Yeah, I will probably get it when I get a new TV.

I'll be interested to see if they do a 4K (ultra?) blu-ray release. I imagine that the film would benefit from the wider colour gamut available (not the HDR) - more saturated colours can be shown.

The 20V system is just a way better system. I replaced an older one and couldn't believe how much better the new one is.
