Orange amps are great. You could get it and then maybe a few pedals to stick in front of it, and then you'll probably need a new guitar with P-90s to plug into it....
A used Orange CR120H has shown up for sale locally at a stupid good price. I did not need to see that. I'm kind of hoping it turns out to be in Staten Island or way the hell out in deepest Queens or something so I have an excuse to say those grapes were sour anyway.

We have nowhere to put this where the kids wouldn't immediately destroy it, and David isn't supposed to be drinking these days anyway because of his crappy blood pressure, but I really really want to get him this for his birthday anyway:

I wrestled over where to post this. It could have gone in Facebook Follies because I got it from my FB feed. It could have gone in the Food thread because it's bread related. It could have gone in YLSNED because you didn't know this was a thing.
But here is where it belongs.

You may make with the lusting.

An Epiphone Thunderbird bass showed up and got me thinking. Of course by the time I realized it was a really good price and I was interested, somebody else had been quicker on the uptake.

Yeah, it's true that that is one of the first things that comes up when you read about Thunderbirds. OTOH, it seems that Epiphone has recently relocated the strap button to one of the recommended locations, so that may be somewhat fixed. Given than 99.9% of my bass playing is sitting in my office plugged into GarageBand, I'm not too concerned, though. (The other funny thing is that Epiphone says "Epiphone hardware is the envy of the industry and the Thunderbird Pro features premium die-cast 17:1 bass machine heads, a 3 point full adjustable bridge..." but if you read the reviews pretty much everybody hates that bridge and is begging Epiphone to replace it.)

I love the Jackson Kelly guitar body. I hate the Gibson Thunderbird body. But I'm not getting either, so it doesn't matter too much.
