RIP, Jerry Pournelle.
:( :( :( This is hitting me harder than I would have expected.
I should have listened to Warren. He was right again as usual.

Now all we can do is avenge him.

I really liked him in the Stargate series, but I felt like he over did it as Neegan.

I own at least three movies with Harry Dean Stanton, and I don't own that many movies.

No. The only thing I remember about that movie is a flying car and that it was boring.

That's the thing I realized today- most of the time when someone dies, you look up his/her filmography and there might be a couple things memorable they were in, but damn if this guy didn't just happen to be in half a dozen landmark movies. Jeebus, he was even in Two Lane Blacktop.

Jake LaMotta died. He was 95. A boxer who lived to 95!

Sadly, however, according to Doug Stanhope, a neighbor in Bisbee, AZ, Jake had been senile for years. Worse yet, his wife took advantage of him, having him appear on stage and, in what could only be considered conditioned responses, react to 'cues' from his wife a bit like a trained seal.

Looking forward to more humorless feminists condemning Hugh Hefner in terms that don't make sense to lay people as well as people making the same joke about Hefner "not actually going to a better place" though Heaven. Good times on the internet.

The hottest take yet.
Hefner’s life will be derided as profane, but his work celebrates the sexual complementarity that has bound men and women together since the dawn of time.
