I was sorry to hear about Harry Anderson's death - my wife knows his wife, and I actually got to have dinner with him once, and he was both very pleasant and entertaining in person.

I saw this on twitter a few times, and someone called him "a great actor".

Now, c'mon. He might've been a great guy, but I can't think of anything he was in where I would've said, "Wow, Troyer's performance really moved me!"

I find myself above average sad about Scott Hutchinson of Frightened Rabbit. That band has been since like 2008 the right sound for certain of my headspace conditions. I kind of secretly think he was one of the better songwriters of the past 20 years or so. He was brilliant at imagery and conceit. I know most days were hard for the guy - not least the depression and crippling shyness that led his mother to call him her frightened rabbit. Sigh.

I just learned that Chris Tsangarides died earlier this year. He wasn't exactly a household name, but you've certainly heard music that he produced and engineered.

I was sorry to hear about Wolfe. He's most known for his novels these days, but I preferred his early essays. Kandy-Kolored, Tangerine-flaked etc" and Radical Chic were both great. Bonfire was also an amazing bit of writing, though it's probably too much of its time to become a real classic.

John "TotalBiscuit" Bain.

If you have a FoV slider in your PC game, it's probably because TB was one of the first critics to hammer bad UI/HUD design and put emphasis on the quality of PC ports of console games.
