Well nobody wants to give up the 52nd seat in the Senate.

In a Senate with 51 Republicans, the Republican Party is less powerful than if it had 52 Republicans, but each individual Republican Senator becomes more valuable.

If I were a Republican Senator I'd be hoping for 50 Republicans (with Pence to give them the edge). Then absolutely Republican Senator can grab Mitch McConnell by the balls and make him scream.

But most GOP senators also want to get things done. (Remember: most senators probably genuinely believe that they're doing the right thing and making the world a better place). So sure, they'd like to be able to force their way on McConnell et al. But they also want enough of a margin that they can pass a goddamn bill on occasion.

Well, Paul is an ophthalmologist so he saw it coming.

The Bowling Green Massacre really is a bit of a let down, now that it’s happened.

The Trump Presidency makes sense if DJT is the protagonist in a story where he has seen/ been to /is from the future and he can't tell anyone (because who would believe him?) so he has to do all this crazy stuff to avert catastrophe. Of course, he *seems* delusional, but in the final scene as his eyes close slowly in death, we see that he has indeed saved the day, and he knows that his sacrifice has been worthwhile. Mike Pence cradles the Don in his lap, tuxedo bloody and tattered, as Marines mop up and secure the area in the background.

Is it just me or does anyone else suspect that the Rand Paul story involves someone banging someone else's wife? It's the only way any of it makes any sense.

There's an entire YouTube genre of "neighbor from hell" videos that shows it can literally be anything, including just not liking the cut of his jib.

Rand Paul is an eye surgeon. The neighbor is an anesthesiologist. Is there some ancient work-related grudge?

It's totally banging or the nature of the dispute would have been publicized by one of the sides by now.

On the contrary. If it was banging it would surly be reported by now.

Or it might have been reported politely.

Okay, is there any evidence to suggest that's the case or are you just throwing more sand in the eyes of the public?
