I wouldn't mind having Nat King Cole or Cole Porter cds in my stocking.

I have only had good Cole slaw from one place. The Cock of the Walk restaurant in Jackson, Mississippi.

There is no such thing as 'good' cole slaw. It is a thing of the dark side.

I've had good slaw many times. Further there are slaw variations that render the form exquisite.
Granted, 98.2% of served slaw is garbage. With gloppy mayonnaise being the primary culprit.

minimal mayo and some kind of bitter pickly taste and it's ok on a burger in tablespoon sized servings. otherwise it's just gobsmack dogshit convincing people from flyover insulin resistance country that they're eating vegetables.

I have some kind of mental block with slaw. I just can't get myself to eat it like a normal food so I just keep chewing it and it gets unpleasant.

But I'm not into cold slimy salads at all, anyway.

Yeah, the best cole slaw is basically non-fermented kimchi/sauerkraut.

I find execution counts for nearly everything and style almost not at all. Most slaw that is prepared is dreck, but there is good slaw to be had. Good Asian slaws to be sure, but also good creamy slaws, poppy seed slaw, raw veggie carrot, broccoli, etc slaws, wilted and fermented type things. What matters most is starting with seriously good vegetables. Very fresh at the peak of ripeness, and er... what organic is suppose to mean. Then getting the ratios of ingredients right is absolutely key.

I'm out on the lack of balance of creamy no acidity. It's why people who hate slaw hate slaw.

I prefer a sweet and vinegary slaw with a good helping of mustard but the mayo is a must. Otherwise it's another cabbage based salad but not "coleslaw".

At my elementary school cafeteria, they put peanuts and lots of pepper in the coleslaw, and I couldn't get enough of that shit. Never had coleslaw as good since.
