From a DHSS Alaska brochure about WIC foods: "Why is peanut butter so good for me? ... It has plant fat instead of animal fat with has less CHORESTROYL"

I don't know why this is making me laugh so hard
I should have listened to Warren. He was right again as usual.

CHORESTROYL = the substance produced by rendering out a Betazoid.

In the text of this week's sermon: "Bathsheba is humiliated again when she must announce that she is pregnant. How the palace must have buzzard with that news."

"You could water fast or tee fast, for maximum weight loss."

Edited to add: different person, same group: "Is there a certain meal plane that one should follow for the first week or two?"

Towing el león:

"Bendo una guitara agustica"
(rough translation: "I am saling an agoustic gitar")

See, stuff like this is why I raise an eyebrow when speakers of other languages insist that their language and orthography are completely rational. The only word this person got right was "una". (It should be "vendo", "guitarra", and "acústica"; all of them are pretty reasonable errors to make in Spanish, but that's kind of my point...)

I'm sure following a meal plane is great for weight loss, not to mention getting into shape. But boy will your arms be tired.
Thank You! I'll be here all week. Try the quiche.

Well, the Spanish haven't totally changed their spelling around in like fifty years. It's probably time for a new version.

He might want to stay away from Walmart then.

This reminds me of the famous (possibly apocryphal) story that Novell got its name by the founder saying, "Hey, what's French for new?" and his wife saying, "Uh, novell, I think."

(It's not; it's nouveau or nouvelle, but apparently nobody bothered to check a dictionary before filing the paperwork.)
