It may be just the ones I have come across, but male foodies seem more neurotic than female ones.
The weird thing is that, based on the restaurants he goes to (which I know about because he used to go through a "post photos of food" phase), I don't think he IS a "foodie." And definitely has never considered that if the regime he thinks he wants actually were put into place, his own lifestyle and choices would be severely curtailed.
This is the guy who: is utterly opposed to Trump (as am I), was appalled by Trump's playing footsie with literal Klansmen and Nazis (ditto), and yet--thinks it would be a good idea to "solve" the Nazi problem by outlawing "hate speech." Because surely, President Trump and AG Jeff "I used to like the Klan until I heard they smoked pot, heh heh heh" Sessions would NEVER misuse such a power to go after their political opponents while leaving their supporters alone, right?
Also the guy who complained about how miserable it is, trying to sleep in North Carolina summertime when you don't have air conditioning, then a couple weeks later made the drive to Chicago to attend a "World Socialism Conference" -- as opposed to, say, using that money to buy a window-unit air conditioner.
