iRobot's customer service is a good thing. My Roomba died because one of the charging contacts got pushed up into the body of the Roomba. It's three years old, but I called to see if there was a repair option, They sent me a new Roomba and charging station. I just have to send the old one back. Yay for iRobot.

That's definitely a change from a few years ago. When ours stopped working about 13 months after we bought it, they would "repair" it for about 400 dollars, plus shipping both ways.

I was up at Dallas Market a few weeks ago, looking for stuff for the business (side note: an insane amount of b2b stuff is not really online. You have to get face time with humans) and they had an Afflicted distributor. That dude was the poster child for his brand: Aging, bald, goateed gym rat covered in bad tattoos. I had a moment wondering if I had passed the event horizon of self-unawareness.

Congrats. I realized a few weeks ago I will probably never pay off my student loans and will die in debt. I think that means I win, though.
