I did that until I lost the second knife to TSA because I forgot that you can't carry knives on planes because we've always got to fight the last war. After that I just started leaving knives in places I'd likely need them, but don't carry them anymore.

As I recall, he "fixed" another Treadstone operative and his house with a toaster and an open gas line.

From a New York Times article discussing how climate-change-induced sea-level rise is already happening, and hurting American coastal and island communities:
“I’m a Republican, but I also realize, by any objective analysis, the sea level is rising,” said Jason Buelterman, the mayor of tiny Tybee Island

“Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime. Steal a fish from one guy and give it to another–and keep doing that on a daily basis–and you’ll make the first guy pissed off, but you’ll make the second guy lazy and dependent on you. Then you can tell the second guy that the first guy is greedy for wanting to keep the fish he caught. Then the second guy will cheer for you to steal more fish. Then you can prohibit anyone from fishing without getting permission from you. Then you can expand the racket, stealing fish from more people and buying the loyalty of others. Then you can get the recipients of the stolen fish to act as your hired thugs. Then you can … well, you know the rest.” – Larken Rose

If the megalomaniac, who has dangerously bad judgement on foreign policy, economic policy, who is a serial liar, who's been caught in lies on numerous occasions, and at this point has been embroiled in sex scandals and may actually be a criminal, if that person manages to win, I will be disappointed... You don't know which candidate I'm talking about.

“Philosophers should consider the fact that the greatest happiness principle can easily be made an excuse for a benevolent dictatorship. We should replace it by a more modest and more realistic principle – the principle that the fight against avoidable misery should be a recognized aim of public policy, while the increase of happiness should be left, in the main, to private initiative.” – Karl Popper

Yeah that's not bad. I'd color it with qualifications around what we mean by avoidable misery, but yeah.
