She might actually be as dumb as Trump. Probably not as evil, but quite possibly as stupid.

She had a certain, um, medicated look at the debate. But I don't think she's stupid except in the way most clever hucksters are. I think she's doing exactly what Trump originally set out to do: burnish her brand, in her case to sell more books, command larger speaking fees, etc.

Oh, fuck, I hope her plan to sell books and speeches doesn't backfire.

They should make a sequel to The Producers: Some candidate takes a shitload of bribes...I mean, protected free speech campaign donations, from people with completely opposed interests. The idea is to lose so they never have to deliver on all these promises.

Then they win.

They can sing "Springtime for Hitler in Charlottesville..."

Desperate much?

The big generic neon "Drink" sign is incredible. Also, still waiting for the raffle to Awkwardly Mismanage a Community Crisis with Mayor Pete.

ETA: Also file under the Idiocracy thread, as she may well be at a bar in Manhattan with a trendy, asinine name like "Drink"...

Incredible perhaps, but not neon.

I've been getting Facebook feed ads for her for ages. Mainly one of her playing beer pong that's like, "Will you donate $1 to Kirsten's campaign if she sinks this shot?"

I would donate $1 to NOT have to drink whisky with Kirsten. She is intolerable.

In order, I would donate the following amounts to NOT have to have a drink with: (but I would donate it to someone else's campaign, obvs)
$25 - Joe Biden
$25 - Tulsi Gabbad
$30 - Tim Ryan
$50 - Andrew Yang
$500 - Bill de Blasio
$500 - Elizabeth Warren

I would pay large sums of money to never have to see Bernie Sanders speak, or appear in a political campaign again, but I wouldn't donate it to his campaign. So I would donate it to Russia I guess?

I would put Kamala Harris in jail and smoke a joint in front of her cell and then set the place on fire.

Cory Booker is an idiot, but he used to Bon Jovi's buddy, so he can stay for now.

The rest, I'm indifferent to right now I think, but there are so many that I'm probably forgetting someone that I have strong feelings towards.

No idea who will win the Dem primary, but as I have always maintained, Trump will win the general.

Turning away while flicking the end of the joint into a pile of rags, in slo mo while Rage Against the Machine plays. In the movie Rachel is somehow played by Nic Cage.

I actually think Warren could be fun to drink with, and that’s about it. She’s an Okie who went to Rutgers law, she can party.

I'd drink beer with Hickenlooper, but I've already had beer from his brewery and have friends who're neighbors of his.

With the timbre of her voice sometimes, I'd worry she'd annoy everyone with an on-point yet completely decontextualized Jimmy Stewart impression as soon as she had a few.

The last time election chatter was all about "Which candidate would you want to have a beer with?" we got W. and that didn't work out too well.

Was that a real factor though? He doesn't drink. I'm pretty sure it's just spineless cover for voting Republican without having to do any thinking. God forbid a candidate make you read shit. I blame, as always, boomers.

That phrase was just a proxy for personality tests.

I admit, I wouldn't mind spending a weekend at Bernie's.

A night with Swalwell would entail several rounds of beer pong and a contest to see who will wake up Eric's girlfriend to drive us to IHOP at 2 a.m.

Inslee would probably make you sit in the corner of an empty room weaving plastic straws into wind turbines while he stomps around screaming at a gemstone.

Williamson would probably be the optimal choice, though it would require setting aside a whole weekend with my phone turned off (because I haven't taken a hallucinogen since the advent of smartphones)...
