Depends who you ask.
*Ahem*

It depends upon whom you ask.

Also, it should go without saying that all right-minded people agree that sriracha is a superb condiment.

Nah, he's not gonna resign. That'd ruin his plans to primary Trump.

Not primary, but if he ran on a Libertarian ticket, he'd pull more votes from the right than the left.

Like Gary Johnson in 2016, it gives suburban educated conservatives (women) a candidate to vote for that's not Trump but also not someone who's going to get you labeled as a liberal when chatting about politics around the country club.

One of the Reason bunch, Welch I think, was saying as far back at two weeks ago that running on the Libertarian ticket was Amash's play from the jump.

So losing was his game plan to begin with? Bold move, Cotton. Lets see if that works out for him.

“With little genuine debate on policy happening in Congress, party leaders distract and divide the public by exploiting wedge issues and waging pointless messaging wars,” he argued. “These strategies fuel mistrust and anger, leading millions of people to take to social media to express contempt for their political opponents, with the media magnifying the most extreme voices.“

The same way Ron Paul could leave the House be the LP candidate for President, then go back to the House. US political parties are limited in how much they can do to chase off candidates who can meet the (often quite lax) requirements. That's why primaries often wind up being fought against extremists who are bankrolled by the other side's backers.
