Shorter-than-average men do likely have a harder time finding partners, as do taller-than-average women, but I've met guys of the sort Nicole is talking about, and they cling to their shortness as an excuse. "No point in trying to improve my personality or fix my character flaws; obviously my shortness is the only reason all those stupid hateful shallow bitches don't want to date me!"

Random Observations C.A (306 pages is enough)

To be clear I think the right view is you can have whatever preferences you have and it’s fine. I’m only annoyed when people tell me there is a moral component to preferences in circumference but not altitude.

+1. With the added caveat that I have zero patience for the whining of anyone (woman, man, other, dragon, etc.) with absurd preferences when the universe has failed to provide a dream partner.

I wonder if this talk of height is why I got bummed I'm now 6' versus my old 6'1. Stupid gravity and getting old stuff.

Being tall : a guy :: big boobs : a girl

I've been on Tinder and OKC the last two weeks, (with great success /smug) , and height is mentioned A Lot.

This is correct. Alternatively:

Being short:guy::being fat:girl

I will say that at least 'being fat' also covers a lot of territory where fat and curves are really attractive on some women, but a normal or lesser height on men doesn't really change their appearance, and advertising your physique as a man (shirtless mirror selfies, beach shots) makes you a fuckboi, whereas advertising your height is par usual.

The motion-activated towel dispenser in the men's room here at work is temperamental. One day it'll give you squarish sheets, the next, double-lengthers.

I guess that answers the question of whether Shania Twain is a pop or country act.

If we fought the revolution so we don't have to hear about royal babies, surely fighting to a draw in 1812 means we don't have to listen to Canadian singer/songwriter opinions.

Well, if a mass of Trumpkins spring out of the aether to, uh, mass-buy her albums, and she suddenly pretends she never apologized, she can become the Reverse Dixie Chick.

Man. I was just thinking. We've all known each other for years. Like ... years, years. In an online community that just seems wild to me.

Continuing on that theme ...

Do ... like ... YouTube commenters know each other or 9gag posters? Like shitposting on a pewdiepie video and someones just like "ducksfortheo69! Haven't seen you in ages! How's the move to northern Cali been? Settled in yet?"

What we have just seems really awesome.

I have occasionally seen things like that, but mostly among people who are actually video-posters who watch each other.

It's not like forums, though.
