Yeah, Africa's definitely a mixed bag. Everybody I know who's been to Ghana loved it. Nigeria? Not so much.

Really, this is just how power has worked through human history. The developed world lives in an unusual bubble of taboos and standards that boil down to, "We don't do things that way".

That's certainly true, but I was hoping their government might figure it out and escape some of the stupider shit.
