I have a few acquaintances in a LARP community, and the whole group is a messy tangle of sweaty limbs when they aren't in costume/character. It's a strange confluence of nerd culture and SJ culture because nobody has any pronouns IRL except their characters totally use gendered language and concepts?

In any case "this guys fucks", so to speak.

Maybe I should join a LARP group. Except I'm generally terrible at hiding my true feelings, one of which is that LARPing is dumb.

(Demon:the Fallen was kind of ehn. "After building up all this mythology, let's just dump straight Christian mythology into the World of Darkness!" And no, don't yammer at me about Caine. I was a big WWGS fan, participated in playtests, etc., and I had zero interest in Demon whatsoever. Ironically, the new Demon, where you play rebellious inhuman spies of the God-Machine, is actually kinda interesting, but I'm over 40, and it's hard to sell myself on a big hardback RPG that I'm never going to actually play.)

(Shem confused Hunter: the Vigil, which is nuWoD/CofD, with the ...troubled Hunter: the Reckoning, a muddle of writers and marketers going at cross-purposes. Everyday people fight back! Except they have powers! But shitty powers! But they're badass! But they're not! And there's a whole mythology there I could never bring myself to get a shit about, and I was friends with some of the writers. It actually set up for Exalted, of all things, in a misguided idea.)

So, more "totally understandable", ever if you're a total Dorkknight of Dorkitude.

JFC. A manlet is really "by definition" the pathetic sad sack who writes a thesis on the global conspiracy to prevent them from getting laid. Same sort of sorry fuck who talks about the beta revolution.

Also in case you were wondering the average adult male in the US is still only 5'9.5" tall. For non-Hispanic whites the figure is a towering 5'10".

I remain unclear on why the average US woman would allegedly only want to date people a full foot taller than her.

It is a thing that consensus 10 dudes are tall and it is also a thing that 5'5" dudes and shorter are going to have a rough time relatively speaking. That leaves the entire middle of the distribution available, live with it.

I don't think men under 6'2" or women under 5'8" are actually human, so I don't know what that guy is writing about.

Well that's easily the most ridiculous thing I've heard today. Not sure if anything this week can beat it.

Hold off on that statement; I think Trump's giving a speech today.
