The Trumpers will undoubtedly call this a 'hyuge' win, even though it appears the differences are largely cosmetic:

Revamped NAFTA deal will 'rebalance' North America trade

Canada made some minor concessions on the dairy issue (US gets a 5% share of the Canadian market), has a cap on auto exports that is largely meaningless (40% higher than present levels), and agrees to the sunset clause - which means we get to renegotiate it after Trump is gone.

Mexico is the big loser because they have to increase auto workers' wages to $16/hr.

Aren’t the changes stuff that would be covered under TPP?

If I understand correctly, they are the same as the concessions under TPP and CETA.

It's alright though. In 16 days we have legal pot to help us chill while Trump bloviates.

I appreciate the decision to name the trade deal after Adam Yauch.

And what violent crimes has he been accused of that would justify physically restraining and manhandling a septuagenarian in poor physical shape?
Fraud, for one. That's still theft, right? I know everyone's all "taxation is theft" and I don't disagree.

But theft is still theft, right? Taking of property by force is violence, right?

I agree with Hugh. The Yemen stuff is pretty normal. I would, however, go with Jennifer, that the family separation stuff is both aberrant and horrific.

I am still skeptical that this going to ruin Trump, despite being the most smokiest gun anyone has had so far.

I'm not sure what the standard is for 'ruin', but if we're talking about keeping the support of his base, nothing will ruin him. Nothing at all.

I don't know if he'll lose in 2020. With his 40% approval, plus another 10% saying "But the Blue has a problem with [insert comparatively trivial scandal here]!", he could win.

But Shem's prediction was that the NYAG will ruin him by dismantling the business empire. I'm starting to believe it.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to see the doctor for a boner lasting more than four hours.

Funny how the prestige conservative publications that said that they will call balls and strikes re: Trump have said nothing about the NYT tax evasion article. They had 2 posts about Colbert calling Jonah Goldberg a “Trump ally” in under 12 hours.

A bunch of my students had a midterm in another class today. When the Presidential Alert came out.

That must have been fun.

I was irritated as well. The Emergency Alert System should not be a thing. Nothing good can come of it. It's like the final piece of some volcano lair supervillain's scheme.

Also, what possible use would a nationwide alert ever be valuable? Like the situations where it’s relevant just leads to widespread panic
