Re: Calling 2020 for Entropy

Post by Andrew »

Starting in November or so, I started seeing a few "Any Functioning Adult 2020" signs and stickers, which I assumed were anti-Trump signs. However, in the last two months, many more have started showing up. Are these also being used as anti-Biden signs? Because if people are arguing that Biden is functional, well, I just don't know what to say to that.

In my neighborhood, they’re almost certainly put up with an anti Trump intent.

"if people are arguing that Biden is functional," this shit is relative. And relative to Trump, yeah. Do we really think that Biden would appoint a new Bill Barr?

I don't see any other way to read "Any Functioning Adult" as anything but "a pox on both houses". If anything Biden is less functional than Trump. But I don't know if that makes him the lesser evil or not. We'll have to wait and see.

Nah, he'd go with someone much better. An Eric Holder, say, or a Janet Reno.

I mean, by comparison, I'd take either. This Flynn thing is pretty psycho.

How psycho are we talking, on a scale of kicking down the doors of legal pot shops to burning down a building full of children?

Right on soul brotha
Former Vice President Joe Biden suggested Friday morning that an African-American radio personality “ain’t black” if he was questioning whether he should support the presumptive Democratic nominee over President Trump in the general election.

After an aide interrupted the interview to say that the former vice president was running short on time, Charlamagne tha God asked that Biden pay the studio a visit the next time he’s in New York.

“It’s a long way until November,” he said. “We’ve got more questions.”

“You’ve got more questions?” Biden replied. “Well, I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
You'd have to be some kinda dumbass not to vote for this guy.

In the real world, given who the alternative is?

So. I'm having trouble coming to terms with the fact that a man that calls himself "Charlamagne tha God" has captured the public dialog regarding a major party candidate for POTUS in an election year.

Just me?

I imagine it’s because he’s very frank.

ETA - it’s actually weirder to me that he names his show after a 1980’s John Hughes movie than that he names himself after a twelve hundred-plus year old emperor.

I had never heard of "Charlamagne tha God" before seeing the previous posts.

Seldom have I been so pleased to be out of the current cultural loop.
