No. I said why I brought it up—you're far from the only conspiracist I run into online, and a lot of those people have gone quiet about anything to do with Trump and/or Russia in the context of COVID-19, batshit-left and -right alike. Everyone's going hard on the real puppet-masters being China, the UN, the deep state, those hospitals getting kickbacks for COVID-19 diagnoses, teh corporate greed, and those true masterminds, WHO. And that's despite the single strongest case for the "look, Trump is actively trying to harm the country!" argument since the bastard took office.

I have to admit, I sat here a while, thinking. while I wrote this post. I realized that I really can't think of any single thing you and I have ever discussed here that wasn't how I'm an idiot in denial for not understanding Putin's 20-dimensional chess game. I feel like we must have at some point, but I just can't think of anything.

So, on one hand, i have trouble buying that you have call to be offended, but on the other hand...well, I'm not going to pretend I'm offended. If you'd enjoy the place more that way, feel free to block me. I'll even return the favor to avoid giving you reply notifications.

Are you asking if he's secured the Presidency of Russia for the next 10,000 years?

Probably.

This is a good summation of the constitutional referrendum that Russians seem to have voted in favor of.

Including the clause that let's Vlad stay in power for the foreseeable future:
A person can only hold the presidency for two terms (replacing "two consecutive terms").

In the case of a person already holding the presidency, previous terms will not count - the so-called "zeroing" of Vladimir Putin's terms so far.

If he lives to 80, he'll probably be ready to retire—or else have another plan for staying in power longer.

Depends how scared he is of the prospect of getting a polonium creamer.

Putin. He was a KGB officer, after all and probably received real combat training.

Relatively few presidents in living memory are at all scary, and the second most milquetoast is probably the only one to have personally killed anyone.
