The pricing where I live is about $100 from Cox for internet + cable and about $120 for just internet.
So they're paying you to get cable?
Yes, because networks pay for access based on subscribers. So Comcast is selling the possibility of you seeing those networks' ads.

Although Halloween is the observance that I hate most, I decided I should have a small supply of Halloween treats on hand in case some kids ignore the fact my house is dark and somehow make it past the deadfall traps to shout "Liquor Sweet" or some such garbage at my door. I stopped by the store to see if I could pick up some junk food 'treats' to throw at hand out. Preferably something saturated with sugar (If the kid's parents are going to let them pester me, I'll give the kids a sugar buzz for their parents to enjoy.)

Unbelievably, there were no Halloween treats on sale. Nada. I checked three stores. Instead, there were Advent Calendars, Candy Canes and Chocolate Santas.*

WTF!!

*I suppose I could have given out Chocolate Santas with their heads bitten off, but that would probably bring a visit from Child Protection Services.

It brings two of the things I hate most. Uninvited doorbell ringing and the laughter of children.

I wanna like it, but I just... ugh. Doesn't help that I had to go to the store for a missing ingredient right in the middle, so a bunch of people saw my shame at the fiction of the porch light. But OTOH the King Soopers was super empty - like 11PM empty, but without all the stock boys piling palates of shit in the aisles.

King Soopers still sounds to me like a place Wile E. Coyote would shop.

The name "Safeway" always bugged me as a kid. Was there an "Unsafeway?"

OTOH, 7-11 always made me think of a craps game.

That's cute you guys but seriously, "Kum N Go" is the only one of those that comes close to Piggly Wiggly. It edges King Soopers, but just barely. Seriously, Soopers. Just so we're clear that's a descriptor, not a surname.

That this exists and is not a parody, to all evidence.
