Never have I been so happy for Black Friday creep. I thought I would be stuck going to the laundromat for the next 3 weeks until everything goes on sales. Home Depot is starting their Black Friday sale now, which means the dryer that I want is 30% off today.

Yeah. "Boxing Day" sales in Canada turned into "Boxing Week" and have now spawned "Pre-Boxing Week" sales.

"Black Friday" appeared in Canada about five years back.

(FWIW, I also saw Christmas stuff appearing on the shelves a couple of weeks back. I think we are heading for 'the Land of Perpetual Christmas.')

How the hell do you have Black Friday when you only celebrate Columbus Day?

Gotta recommend Johnscrazysocks.com, especially for buying small gifts --
a) it's run by a young man with Down syndrome
b) really good personal service (a hand-written thank-you note! a pack of M&Ms with the order!)
c) they have socks for every possible kitschy interest, so you can personalize it for anyone
d) free shipping over $25
e) who doesn't need socks?

Yeah, those are 10x better than regular Oreos. But not as good as the lemon ones.

The peanut butter Newman-Os are the best, but for some reason those are no longer available where I am. And I've checked many stores.

For a long time I didn't know that DoubleStufs were Oreos. I thought Oreos were just a skimpy knockoff of DoubleStufs.

There is no DoubleStuf but one DoubleStuf and peanut butter is for spoons, crackers, sandwiches, and NOT A GODDAMNED THING ELSE ESPECIALLY COOKIES.

Oreos are sickeningly sweet and I regret it every time I eat one two a row a package.

Chocolate and peanut butter are two great tastes that must be strictly separated to preserve racial purity.

Also whatever that eldritch paste is that they put in Reece's cups.

Seriously though I think I must be a super-taster for whatever it is in peanuts. I can't eat certain things if I can even smell peanuts or their butter without it completely changing the taste to something horrible.

I'm jadagulian on oreos. The icing is shitty. Slightly bitter cookie in milk is good.
