Mojito was confused as all get out when I showed up after getting my beard shaved. He had the look of, "Who the fuck is this guy that sounds like my dad?"

Kind of related: Apparently, I sound enough like my brother that when I speak to my mom on the phone while she's visiting him, my niece and nephew ask to talk to daddy.

Facial hair/TSA related petty annoyance. I have been using a double edged razor for the last 3 or 4 years and traveled with it without any incident. Last week, in Westchester County Airport of all places, they open up my bag and take out the blade.

I might have mentioned an incident in which they did the same to me...but overlooked the package of ten more razor blades in the same bag.

Cut my own hair last night. Galt knows what the back looks like, but it all feels pretty uniform considering it's a first effort.

The barber and I were not quite on the same page when he trimmed my beard. I went from 5 months of growth to 3 weeks of growth. It's the shortest it's been since I've had a beard.

I imagine it explains why I got carded for the first time in several years while buying booze.
