Also, is it possible to shift to https? Especially for login screens etc.
That would be ideal, but may involve some cost & configuration. Am in discussions about those issues.
Aha! Cheers. I assume the cost is for certificate, maybe software upgrade?
Certificate, though I think the host wants a cut. AFAIK, phpBB is fully SSL-compliant.

Are any of the free options worth pursuing?

This is a shared server, so we don't have the option to do some of that customization.

Are user-selectable visual schemes disabled or unsupported? It's hard to get used to the default because it's how the board looks when I'm not logged in lol.

Not a big deal, just curious.

They were incompatible, so I have to install new versions. Any clue which one you used?

Nope. I set it the day we moved over here and never looked at it again. I'll get used to this one in a few days. I'll take my pick of whatever you choose if you do indeed install some.

It's not worth any effort to try and find the one I used before. It might even be useful to shake up the visual cues and associations from previous versions. A new Epoch if you will.

There are some new ones to choose from.

I'm using a different one, and...yeah. It's there.

Yeah, it's not available for 3.2. Try out some of the flat styles, or maybe Subsilver.

Wait! What? Sandy, have you broken Grylliade?

What are all these supposed options and where the hell are they? And what do the different topic icons mean. I'm so confused! [/Barbarino]

How long has the Gryld! owl been missing? Is that a new thing with the new themes, or has he been gone for a while now?

Huh. It still shows up on Tapatalk as the board icon when selecting which board to read.

I'm with Dangerman - the board looks really weird with my theme reset, and no, I don't remember what it was because I set it years ago and never touched it again. Oh well, it's a small matter in the grand scheme of things.

Try some of the alternative themes out. Right now I'm on proflat grey, and that seems to be not hurting my eyes while giving some usably large targets to hit (the "go to latest unread post" button, for example). It's a bit more subtle, but it's easier.

Weird. It's been so long since I've posted a topic, I don't remember. Ellie?

I can't see a restriction like that, but I'm still learning phpBB.

I have no idea why it would do that! Hmm. I also don't appear to have gotten any kind of notification about a new thread needing approval, so that sucks.
