Is there a setting or policy that the moderators can adjust to prevent users getting private messages from people on their ignore lists, or is that just an unavoidable phpBB thing?

My notifications seem to be on a day or more delay? Message notification just showed up for a message I answered this AM. Shem's response in a thread yesterday at 15:43 just showed up as notification like 10 minutes ago.

So the website itself is procrastinating now? I guess the machines are learning from us.

I know the original forum has been gone for years, but is the last forum now gone too?

That's the worst Chuck Tingle story ever. Or the best one. I'll let Ellie be the judge on that one.

Tapatalk seems to be randomly subscribing me to certain threads and I get emails until I go in one at a time to unsubscribe.

I’m puzzled that when I try to sign in from my lappy I get “not a secure connection” at the login page. This doesn’t happen on my phone, but it did happen when I had the lappy use my phone’s internet connection. What am I doing wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong. The site does not have an SSL certificate, so it cannot use the https connection protocol. So your PC's browser is telling you this. Your phone probably would show you that warning if you looked at the site information.

Ok, thanks! Hard to know on the internet exactly what level of paranoia is appropriate.

Is anyone else seeing tapatalk use up a ton of data recently? It's used over 500 MB of data in the last 10 days for me, and it used to be more like 50 MB for a month. Wondering if this is their new push to get you to buy the ad-free premium: "We're going to serve you these data sucking ads until you buy our product!"

It’s pushing a ton of collapsing and expanding ads, so that’s ... something.
