Re: What are YOU looking at?

This year's Underbelly has been about corruption in the NSW police force, particularly in Sydney's Kings Cross. Pretty good stuff that shows corrupt cops as proper (rapists in some cases) scum-bags.

I remember the BBC adaption on Mobil Masterpiece Theatre when I was a kid. Don't remember much other than her being a bit of a ginga though.

Question 11. Though now that I read the question and the answer, I realize that that's the term for the striped crosswalks.
Yeah, they're called zebra crossings in much of the world.

It's pretty fucking awful, and has only been a "tradition" for 7 years. After 5 mins it's like being in an insect swarm and it's mute time.

Time to set up an EQ in media centre.

As seen on another forum: About 20 years ago I had an assignment to photograph a guy named Ed paralyzed from the neck down. He is kind've a semi-famous mouth-painter, meaning he paints extremely intricate meticulous artwork with the brush in his mouth, and sells them in galleries for thousands of do...

(a) the coltan ores etc are rather high value (I don't know how accessible they are though, but I think that Israel also pays for the tailings of some mines to get their Uranium). (b) they achieve fuck all of their capacity I think.

Re: I wanna see that!!!!

On the plus side, seasons 1-5 of the A-Team are available streaming on Netflix. I remember enjoying the explosions as a kid, but rewatching the series now I am surprised how good a show from the 80s could be. Funny, awesome, and surprisingly deep at times. Plus, there's something agreeably libertar...

Inception looks amazing. I will have fight my dislike of seeing movies in theaters and see it. It looks too visually interesting to pass up on the big screen. Not 3d, though. Screw that nonsense. I agree with Mo and Shem, and disagree with Warren. (Though I don't watch regularly). Stewart is definitely a liberal--it's not like he really tries to make this into a secret. But it seems like he also actually cares about good reporting and good policy. So, like Greenwald (or Yglesias, my favorit...
