To clarify, my more or less fixed allocation for retirement assets at age 36 is something like 80% diversified stock, 15% bond, and 5% cash. There are buckets of money that require planning over different horizons. If you are talking about your retirement bucket, I prefer to focus on asset allocation over micro management. Want to put a little side action on that? I want to bet the DOW/Silver ratio. The DOW closed at 10,520 and silver at 17.67 for a ratio of 595. Normally I'm a long term investor and I'd be betting on ten and fifteen years from now. But for funsies let's say the close on a week from Friday Mar 14. Sm...

On a related note, Nassim Taleb of Black Swan and Fooled by Randomness fame did another stint on Econtalk. I'm in HP printer driver hell. It auto updated and something blew up. Error messages popping up like mad. Have to manually uninstall because the installation error seems to bug out all of the driver utilities. Blah.
