Re: World's Worst Airport

Oh yeah, Singapore is very good. Hong Kong is, ah, very big. Neither had a decent bar though.

LAX has a good bar. Shitty, shitty airport though.

Re: Worthwhile intertubez finds

From a recent comment spied at the AV Club: If it could be done humanely it would be interesting if you could rent monkeys who could be placed inside the realdolls when you sleep with them so that their eyes are staring out at you through the eyeholes and you can pretend you are staring into a beaut...

Re: Is there a name for this?

Apparently coined by some wanking academic mumbler named Harold Bloom. bruh, bloom is a lot of things (a dick, mostly) but mumbling is not one of his things. he's probably the most strident living lit critic, especially palatable for those in the "oh noes marxistos" camp. I just meant that I couldn...

Re: World's Worst Airport

Never had a problem with CDG??? How is that possible? So, first, that idiotic thing where they have gates set up, but the planes don't come to the gates. A bus comes to the gates. A bus with super pimped out hydraulics picks you up and drives ... forever. In a spiral. Of sorrow. But, hey, there's a...

Re: World's Worst Airport

SFO international is actually pretty good. Domestic is shitty though, and United always have your luggage on another flight.

Copenhagen is pretty good. Heathrow is shitty, except for the new terminal. London City is the airport you want to use here.

Never had a problem with CDG.

Contemporary example - what movie was the first to use the (now cliché) buddy cop "only two days from retirement" plot device?

On the left it's all that ancient peoples of the earth sustainability acupuncture woo. Hey, don't blame those goat herders. When presented with modern technology they did (and still do) dump all that old shit for the new. To be fair to the "ancient peoples", in the 1980s a lot of pharmacologists fi...
